They're good in studio, but they really shine with an audience, where you can see how much joy they radiate. e.g.: Glasonbury, cold and rainy day they started with a hundred cold people in front of the stage and by the end of the hour had thousands of delirious fans bouncing, clapping and cheering for them. Truly wonderful.

Similar story at WOMAD. I’ve rarely seen such energy and awe at live gigs. Utterly brilliant. The crowd was blown away and would not stop cheering, I think they did about three encores in the end and were quite overcome themselves with the reaction from the audience. Completely beautiful, totally bonkers and uniquely awesome. One of the best bands I’ve seen.

One can view the Glastonbury (2016) concert on KZbin. They start with a small audience, cheering and dancing from the first. Even though it rains virtually the whole set, their audience gets bigger, and louder, and nosier right to the end, when it looks to be spread all the way back to the merchandise tents. DakhaBrakha feeds off this audience energy better than any musical act I've ever see, and returns it many fold. They are spectacular live performers. Check out the many concerts available on KZbin.

Thanks. I’ll definitely check out the Glastonbury gig. Spent many a gig in the pouring rain with the die hards. But if the music is worth it... Seriously missing live gigs and festivals right now. As are many others, I’m sure. Roll on the day when we can get back out there... rain or shine 🙂

I've been a rap listener since I was a pre-teen, and throughout my teenage years I had the chance to grow up in an extremely active hip-hop community, listen to talented MCs and attend a lot of cyphers and concerts. But I can honestly tell you that I have never heard a rap performance in my life that impressed and moved me as strongly as this one. I can tell you in the most honest way possible that after I first heard this track earlier this year I totally changed my perspective on rap. After all, DakhaBrakha totally changed my perspective on music, not just on rap. Your music is truly transcendental. You are amazing musicians. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all that you do and for your music that has revived my spirit and brought me close to my own roots. PS: The concert you performed this year in Romania was a transformative experience for me, I was mesmerized the whole time you played and felt for the first time in my life a deep sadness that the concert had to come to an end. I would have spent the entire night in front of the stage and listened to you without interruption.

Their rhythms are layers of vocal and percussive perfection..... The endurance of this group, seems to reveal some equal contributions from all the members. Lena can provide the "Uh Huh" of some B Movie extra, with the solemn grace of a Monarch..... Olena sings like an Angel, as her eyes reveal the effects of being away from family wear on any performer.... Some call it "Road Eye's" Marco seemed like some extra member added to lend some Male balance to the superb harmony Three Women offer, But he does display a great ability to understand the effects of harmony......and rhythm..... Iryna provides the Beale Street Blues licks that are impeccable as any former sharecropper, while being as beautiful as any performer to ever perform for other people... Nina with a beguiling smile of some street corner Hooker, lures us like some Siren unto the Rocks of the superb use of those Cellos, over which she displays such beautiful control .... Her voice has been even known to heal suffering heads..... I doubt that Sir George Martin could have done better.....

Carpathian Rap Listen, dear people What I want to tell you. I want to sing a song About all the guys. If only my Mom knew What Dmytro is capable of Every Sunday she would Dress me up in an artful way.1 If only my Mom knew What Mikhaylo is capable of Every Sunday she would Dress me up nicely. If only my Mom knew What Ivanchyk is capable of Every Sunday she would Let me go to the dancing. If only my Mom knew What Vasyl' is capable of She would just tell me "Oh my God, no way!"2 A cuckoo was calling3 Somewhere over there Where all the guys are good But Mykola is the best. A cuckoo was calling Over there near the forest. I don't love anyone Like that Yurchik guy. Yurchik, go to bed Because you are tired. Petryk, come to me Because I like you. My guelder-rose, my raspberry. 4 My guelder-rose, my raspberry. I love Havrylo very much And I'm in love with Lukin. But when I don't see Andrey I perish in vain. And when I don't see Andrey, I don't tell anyone. I gave my hand to Yelavko And went home. I gave my hand to Yelavko, And my kerchief to Hrytsko. And I hug Semén Like a small child. As I was going home I passed plum-trees. I met Anastasiy there Bringing me marigolds. My guelder-rose, my raspberry. My guelder-rose, my raspberry. I was going home Across a green meadow. I met Shtefan and Onufriy. I follow them everywhere. As I was going home The day was clear. I met Khedor and Mykyta. Those are my darlings. A lily started to bloom In front of my house. I've cooked pastils But Makoviy isn't around. My dear Makoviy isn't around And his Dad isn't around too. I wish my Mom would marry me off To that Ihnat guy. Cause Ihnat has a nice house And a new barn. I don't know whether I'd become Ihnat's destiny. I don't know whether I'd be Together with Ihnat. Maybe Kuz'ma will marry me If he wishes to. This night at midnight I had a miraculous dream. If Kuz'ma doesn't marry me, Then Danylo will do. Though Danylo has a nice field But his house is old. I won't marry Danylo. I would rather marry Safat. My guelder-rose, my raspberry. My guelder-rose, my raspberry. Though Safat has a nice house But his mother is old. I won't marry Safat. I would rather marry Slavko. As I came to Slavko I slammed the door. I won't marry Slavko. I would rather marry Yakym. Yakym has bulls and horses. Yakym has cows too. If Yakym doesn't marry me, Bless you all!5 I've sung you This song So that all good people know How I sorted out the guys. My guelder-rose, my raspberry. Це неперевершено, чіпляє так сильно, що майже божеволієш, але від того, що відчуваєш, як десь далеко в глибині твоєї генетичної памʼяти пробуджуються маленькі, загублені з часом пагінці істини твого існування... It's amazing, it touches you so much that you almost go crazy, but it's because you feel that somewhere deep in your genetic memory, small shoots of the truth of your existence, lost over time, are awakening...

@@bartonknight2254 It seems to me that he wanted to say that there are many songs that are thousands of years old. At least I see it that way.
