I feel you, blood. Not trying to sound like a over-optimistic Rockets fan myself but look at it from the standpoint. In both cases especially the Victor Oladipo case, the Rockets had a player who was leaving next year anyway and was doing nothing but taking away shots, dribbling opportunities and playing time for developing skills and confidence to players like Kevin Porter Jr. and who ever we get in this year's draft assuming we get to keep our top 4 protected pick. Let's say hypothetically we end up with a third pick and we end up drafting Evan Mobley and let's say we could we pick up a young player and this upcoming years free agency like Kelly Oubre jr. Next years starting lineup can consists of: *PG:* Kevin Porter Jr *SG:* Jae'Shaun Tate *SF:* Kelly Oubre jr. *PF:* Christian Wood *C:* Evan Mobley Now also imagine this team being run by John Lucas. Who was a finalist of the Rocketes head coach search and is currently a assistant coach for the Houston Rockets. A very well-known and respected member of the Houston Community who understand the importance of developing the young players, rebounding via adding taller players, more fast break opportunities and ball movement.
