dOols V exactly what you said sir. It’s indicative of heading to objective. Otherwise you call out Lateral or Moving if this wasn’t exactly the case. Kinda like calling Mayday. In a real emergency especially on a plane you call Pan, Pan, Pan to indicate what we think of as Mayday. A Mayday call for example is a small fire or flame out on one of four engines when you need two to fly. It’s serious but not life threatening.

14:24 "Wilco" is short form for Will Comply. This from my radio handbook: "Wilco: I will cooperate. (Not the same as "Roger" and must not be used together. Only to be used by the addressee.) Roger means the receiver has received and understood a message." Incidentally when the AI pilots shout "Pan Pan Pan" just before their mech blows up, they should be using "Mayday, Mayday, Mayday". Mayday is for grave and imminent danger (Like your nuke reactor going crit), whereas Pan if for an urgent situation, but not life threatening. (A leg being blown off should be a Pan, Pan Pan situation, not oppsie, component lost.

Real life commercial airline pilots using mayday vs pan pan is a regional thing. Americans and the EU all use mayday while pan pan is used almost exclusively by Asian/Southeast Asian and smaller regional airlines. Air traffic controllers are trained to recognize both.

Typically in the western world the opposite is true and Pan, Pan, Pan is the bigger threat. Since the standard air traffic control language is English the western Pan is the imminent danger whereas Mayday is a less threatening issue. It’s dumb to use both and this has caused issues in the past such as people dying on a runway from fire when the controllers thought there was simply a relatively minor issue that would remove the plane from flight and require significant refit or repair.

The King Crab's cockpit is front and center, so it is actually a pretty easy target. You almost killed the leader of the Dark Burny mercs with a headshot in your other video. So, my advice would be: never skimp on head armor and try to avoid brawls.

Wilco = Will Comply A good King Crab config I've found in Battletech is 2 AC5's with 2 ammo each, an LRM 15 with 2 ammo, 3 medium lasers, jump jets, a bunch of double HS, and near-max armor. It has minimal heat issues, is effective at nearly all ranges, and is extremely mobile. Edit because youtube autoformat is fail.

Double AC20 is pure awesome. Although personally I don't like the kingcrab that much, the main guns in the arms? Not the best idea for extended missions, good in defense I guess, but even then the Atlas feels better, both more tanky more balanced. Recently tried a 400 tonnage mission piloting a Yen Lo Wang hero cent, and I gotta say, it was actually pretty fun. Gotta hold your fire abit and use your Lance to engage first while you move in, then you get behind them and into the fray and core their rears or leg them. If they do fire at you, show them the shield arm.

From my experience in mwo the king crab has a higher probability of taking headshots because of the cockpit location. It is very centered and located in the middle of the body so a shot aimed at the center of the body has a posibility of hitting the head, and AIs of the enemies will try to shoot you on the center. I got killed several times in mwo by headshots mostly on king crabs, and I also killed some king crabs with a headshot without doing it on purpose, just aiming to the center

Cataphract Ilya Murometz is a quintessence of Dakka-Dakka. This 70t mech can be fited for 3 UAC/5 & 5-6t ammo and 2ml. Roaring death for aircraft/vehicles/lights/mediums and low armored heavies&assault mechs.

There are only 2 engine heat sink slots in the CT of the Kind Crab. Double heat sinks outside of the engine slots require 3 slots. Therefore, 2 DHS and 2 SHS are the max for the CT of the King Crab.

If you look at the front of the king crab, it has a huge cockpit hitbox dead center torso. Same on Nightstar. Both of these, gotta always run full head armor and intentionally turn away between cycles. Idk why they made the head hitboxes so much bigger in this game :(

From what I've found, King Crab and the late game reward mech are just cockpits with arms. They both get headshot almost non-stop. Annihilators can take a beating to the head as well, but that one's weird since it's like 4 stories above the CT. Not sure if the AI is just pinpoint sometimes or what.

When I need the weight, I use 1 or 2 KCs. Never lost one to a head shot, though I've killed a number this way. I keep them in distance range, armed with gauss, LRM and erppc. They are killers. I use them occasionally for sniping in 3rd person view to kill all the trash targets. Then I send my boys after incoming mechs. I've learned to make kill zones on the maps and the enemy AI always falls for it.

I have a question about the plot here. Isn't comstar the most single most powerful entity in all of the inner sphere? They have total control over (and listen to) all communications, have vast troves of lostech and print the damn money (the also win the battle of tukkayid by fighting all the clans at the same time). How is a single corporation and a mercenary group (directly gunning for their interests) able to stand against that? I'm new to battletech lore so feel free to set me right on this.
