Respect, honor, heroism, courage, gallantry and valor, these are all words befitting of Sgt Meyers actions that fateful day, a Marine to his very core, a man unafraid of giving his life for his fellow man, for his country! As General Amos said this is fidelity in the USMC, but it also makes me think of these words, "so that others may live" courtesy of the Guardian Angels of USAF Pararescue! Sgt Meyers it is no understatement to say sir that you've done your country proud and Americans everywhere wish you joy and fulfillment throughout your life and success in all your future endeavors, Semper Fi Marine!
