A song originally from the time of the Soviet-Japanese conflicts in the 1930s, with some additional verses included in later years. It mentions the Japanese intervention in the Russian Civil War, the Battle of Khasan, and finally the Soviet-Japanese War of 1945.

A lovely song 0:00 Anyone knows who is this (probably) Russian general standing next to Japanese? 0:30 and 0:45 Those photos actually come from the Battle of Khalkh-Gol. 1:00 A really nice photo, apparently taken in Harbin, Manchuria. This is what's written on the building at least 1:15 Also a nice photo, it shows the soldiers from Far Eastern Fleet, probably also in Harbin. Not sure where exactly actually, but surely in Manchuria. The flag they hold is a flag of the Soviet navy 1:45 Soviets on Manchukuo throne... glorious 2:01 I like how one soldier here has a really Cossack look As a Pole, I have to admit that for a second I had a thought "God, better not to annoy them indeed"

Pretty interesting, because Japan actually retreated from Siberia without much fighting; this was when the Red Army defeated most of White Army and it was clear they would pose a massive threat to the Japanese holdings. So there was no real struggle between Japan and the Bolsheviks Also, when it comes to the result of Battle of Khasan, it was rather undecided, nobody won. But given the number of soldiers, Japanese won. They should have mentioned rather the Battle of Khalkin-Gol in my opinion... Edit: Yeah, both photos from this stanza and refrain show Japanese at Khalkin-Gol I love the photo of Soviet soldiers on Manchurian throne. Didn't know it existed
