I've listened to this song more than 1000 times in my life and every time it gets me. It gets me so hard I can't even sing because of the lump in my throat. I'm Greek and I live in Greece but artists like Dale Ann Bradley have made me appreciate the Appalachian culture and history so much, they've made me feel the hardship of these people so deep that I consider it my own culture now.
