I met Kenny at a gas station. He was about to drive off with his sunglasses on his roof. I flagged him down and he probably thought I wanted to fanboi. I grabbed his glasses off his roof and handed then to him through the window. He said , "man, you're my hero." So, boys...I'm your hero's hero.

I just wish we had Speed channel again. Honestly, I think that's part of the reason Nascar isn't what it was just a few short years ago.

@@CSDonohue11 I lost a lot of what little respect was there for Spencer after he was on Jr’s podcast. Totally copped out on owning up to what he said and addressing it. Jr winning in 01 was Jr showing he could drive better than anyone when he really wanted it. Of course all the teams were creative with the rules and some drivers may have even gone a little easy on that race to try to let him up front for a chance to win, but who’s going to admit that? There was a respect there among those guys and Spencer completely tarnished it by his comment. At least he came on the podcast but that was a very understated display of class on Jr’s part by just letting it slide after that. He realized Spencer is just a mad dog on his way out and he’s just running his mouth and nothing out of it means anything

Sometimes I get a little sad watching Juniors show. The show is fantastic, but when I hear all these great stories with all these great people from the past and it's all stuff I remember, knowing it will likely never have that same feel going forward just sucks. It's just not the same anymore. The 80s, 90s, and early 2000s were some great times for me in Nascar. Love Kenny Wallace!

@Properformancenutritioncom5 жыл бұрын
yeah it sucks. I tried following everything this season but lost interest. It didn’t help when Rutledge Wood would get first dibs with the winner while the excited crew has to wait behind the wall while Rutledge asks dumb questions like “how does it feel to win?”. Then they don’t really even show the winner get out of the car in victory lane. I don’t know man. I digress.

I've found myself watching old races on KZbin instead of trying to watch it now. The short track night races from the early 2000s are like chicken soup for the soul. Some of those races are still seared into my memory almost 20 years later. I'll never have that connection with modern NASCAR.

He might not have won in cup . But I think of him as one of the greats . How much winning would any modern cup star do against dale sr ,Darrell, rusty ,martin, bodine , Richmond , gordon, jarret ect ! Only 1 guy can win any race and those fields were stacked and the good money was spent elsewhere ! So rock on Kenny for having a career and feeding your family while still being a house hold name . Not many can do that . He does it with pride !
