Who is Dale Brisby!? Dale Brisby is a legendary bull riding gypsy soul that is always on to the next one! He crawls outta bed the same way he crawls into the bucking chute, ready to keep it 90! He loves spurring big brahmer necks for big money checks. you can find him at the pay window, behind the bucking chutes, in the chute, or even busting broncs and tearing down honky tonks! He's been 90 in Maine, Spain, Spokane, and Ala-bame! Thank you for taking a moment to enjoy his shenanigans on the road, at a rodeo, or at home at Radiator Ranch! We all know that one guy who's always playin. You find yourself wondering every time he opens his mouth if its a serious story or another joke. You think to yourself, "You play too much! But it is funny. And you're good looking. And I want to name my kid after you. And you're a legend. And I want you to kiss my wife on the mouth!" Well that guy is me! Sometimes when I open my mouth, I don't even know if what I'm about to say is credible, so I can't imagine how you feel! However, if it isn't true, it otta be! Thanks again for joining!

Was thinking the same as Nathan. I would be drunk already. 🤦🏻‍♂️ I get it. I like that he is respectful but maybe just nod or listen and not respond with yes sir after everything the instructor says would be good also.

What an honor and a blessing to be taught by the legend Mr. Garrison. You did great Nick! Really enjoyed the respect you showed. I know it wasn't easy knowing you were being filmed for KZbin during this all. Keep learning from the best and and you'll continue getting better and better.

I really love this video and videos like this because I’m a guy who didn’t start spending real time in a saddle until 2 years ago or so. Because I’m away at college I can’t get in a saddle more than once a month for 3 seasons on the year. These keep me sharp but more importantly, learning. I can take some of this stuff home with me, apply it and become a better rider even if I can’t be in the saddle. It’s like finding a shortcut to studying for a test and when the test comes you’re ready. Thanks Dale.

Good job Nic. Everybody has to learn sometime, and you will learn little things from lots of people you’d never expect. Enjoy the learning curve and remember that horsemanship is a lifelong journey, not a destination, you never really stop learning. Only the subpar horseman knows everything (or so they think). 👍

Love this. Practical instruction. Great job teacher, rider and especially horsie. I wish I could build a pen like that...much love...especially cuz then the know-it-all neighbors couldn’t pretend like they’re in the role of instructor!😂. The same people whose horses take off running while they’re still trying to get on...the same people who literally have no idea how to stop their horses, are obsessing over whether or not my feet should be further back...or maybe further forward...or maybe further back...not even exaggerating one little ol’ bit!!!

I like how the instructor reminds nic of things he’s not doing from the first part of the lesson. He will add something, but remind him he doing it right but still using his fingers only if that makes sense. I could be wrong (I’m not a trainer by any means) but split reins would maybe help in keeping his fingers closed. I use split reins and always use my hand instead of fingers. I really have never thought about it till this video. Well, I watched some more and realized it looks like he is using split reins. Good thing I’m not an instructor lol!

My ol' broke cowboy slouch with hands resting on a wide swell would drive this trainer nuts. I call it the herniated disk and chronic thoracic strain style. And if that's not a style I'd have to quit riding.

You doing OK on riding.. It would be smart to learn how to keep a horse up under you in a forward motion.. Figure eights are good for you and you can find a line with a horse.. And you will feel the horse following you. Remember it's more the ass that comes first on a horses mind switching leads and all actions come from behind so. I hope you are able to see soon what you can do.. Miles and miles is what you want.
