top bundles angled towards each other. I learned this from the old guys. I had a top bundle of 2 x 12 x 16 ft, slide out on a hard stop one time. shot out like a bullit over the cab then broke both my windshields out all while a cop watched............

Little info about video editing. I do use Shotcut also free and I can do audio over and processes quickly with youtube filter even. Simple drag and drop function I do like it. Try it out it's free too

I had a free editor, but I decided to go even lazier and do one shot videos and upload without editing at all.

Hi Dale, really enjoy your video's. I recently got my CDL licence and will be starting with a flatbed company in Savannah. You have really helped and inspired me to take this totally new and different career path and change. keep the camera rolling!!!

Well, good luck. It takes time getting used to. The best advice I ever received was..... if you want to go it an honest go, give it at least 6 months before changing your mind.

We should be install on your trailer right behind your cabin the camera more often. Especially when you go into yards. It's interesting to watch how people behave behind your back and load too.
@DaleLClay6 жыл бұрын
Many places don't allow camera's

Not even on the interstate? I understand when you enter their Yards and such. Anyhow safe trucking.

ANGLE FRONT BUNDLES TO THE REAR, REAR BUNDLES TOWARDS FRONT. THAT REAR DOUBLE STACK SHOULD HAVE BEEN SET 1 STACK FOWARD.
@dapperdan2516 жыл бұрын
Robert Cowan What do you mean by angling to the rear or angling to the front? I don’t follow what you mean by that. Thank you.
@robertcowan82116 жыл бұрын
to keep all lumber from sliding out on your 4 x4 ,s on the deck put a 2 x 4son top on the very front and very rear bottom bundles. top bundles

Great videos Dale! I don’t have as much time to watch them anymore since I went through the two week orientation at TMC and now I’m starting my third week on the road with a driver trainer. I’m based in eastern PA, but maybe we will run into each other some day!

When I was hauling Sheetrock out of NM, we had to have 2 straps with in the front 18" of the load. I would use a 4" in front then a 2" Ratchet Strap about 6" behind it.

I still see that on occasion.

How do you scale out flatbed? I'm used to hauling dry van. Also if you don't live near a company facility does the company allow drivers to drop the trailer at a nearby ttruckstop and bobtail home? Just curious

Just a quick question if you don't mind, what is the yearly pay like?
@DaleLClay6 жыл бұрын
I make 1100 to 1200 a week, so multiply that by 52.

I bring 1100 to 1200 a week after taxes. It really depends on where you live and what division you get into. Regional divisions get home every week.

Hey Dale. Have you seen Neil Shane Otts channel? He’s a new Maverick driver and KZbinr and he makes great videos. It would be cool if you gave him a shoutout. He has about 300 subscribers today, he deserve some more attention. Have a great day.

If you were stopped at a DOT scale and they found you over weight, would the phone weight app save you from a ticket or would you need the paper copy from a CAT scale to prove you thought you were in compliance?
@DaleLClay6 жыл бұрын
Paper is best in my opinion for that scenario you proposed. The phone just let's me know not to worry. It would be odd to be legal on a CAT scale and then be illegal on a DOT scale in my opinion.
