I always dig hearing people I follow talk on these topics. "Information desert" is a new term to add to my lexicon, that is such a great way to shorthand that concept. I tend to get a bit self conscious about communicating around these topics and sounding informed too, but honestly the more I talk with working class people the more it becomes apparent we all know whats going on. We just gotta have those conversations when we are able. Thanks for sharing.

Dug the outro conversation. I have been thinking / learning about all that stuff the past several years. I agree very much with much of what you were saying. Keep keepin' on... keep it moving forward in a positive direction. Keep rolling with the Most High. BleSsUP!

We need the wisdom of you and Corey. I'm 39 and totally feel you as I feel like I'm never gonna own a house and growing up poor in public housing and now struggling even harder with a good job is crazy. Canada especially these days is so expensive it's insane and with zero generational wealth and both my parents being dead i have no hope lately and was never taught any of this. California too though I've heard.

Having tough conversations is essential. I think to understand something deeper and see a bigger picture you gotta ask tough questions and have hard conversations.

I got lucky by finding an Owner Financed, "Distressed" house for cheap. I have 30 years construction experience. I put $10,000 into it. A $350,000 house was built 2 lots down. That helped my property value rise immensely. Now mine is worth 3 times what I paid. I put $2000 down as a closing cost, monthly payments are $850. Cheaper than rent in Virginia. You have the know how to do it too. Good Talk and Good Luck.

Therapy helps with characteristics of personality disorders. Being really honest, self -reflective and looking at it from every angle is revealing. You can tell a lot about someone in the realm of validation.

One of the biggest places to start right off rip, cut soda, drink exclusively water, 1 B12 a day, switch to a fruit mix diet ( with a pro-biotic to help stomach flora) if fast food in diet, limit, stop at grocery stores instead and buy pre made lunches often u can get sandwiches or subs and split them to lower caloric intake over the day. For me results happened after 5 or six days, i finished up a work week, and was finally feeling refreshed again to get out and start skating again, i really believe the idea behind just feeling better over all can be majority diet related. I switched from snacking, to a apple, or an orange, or a pear so quickly once i had a taste of the candy that is fruit, and moderation with protect you just watch the intake, your solid. OHH and if you can switch to decaf, i know... caffeine give up... wtf... but yea for real, its a hard one, the hardest for me honestly, but once your away from the caf it can be very beneficial for long-term alertness. especially when supplemented with B12 and natural sugars for those burst of power.

Definitely harder to maintain a middle class household these days. The entry level price point for the housing market is stupid and inflation post pandemic has been rough.

It's good to think about what's happening in the external world, but don't obsess over it. I believe if we focus on making our lives better, a side effect will be the external world around us will reflect that. I really like what ya'll were talking about in the car, improve 2 out of 3 aspects of your life thing, just be aware of what you need to work on at any given moment and stick to it for extended periods of time. But be honest with yourself when you need to shift.

Yo Dale, the "Special Group" are the one's that have been looking into the topic, studying the topic and researching the topic for decades as a hobby or life style. For the same reason a skateboarder gets good at skateboarding. People that study the ways of the world become experts of the ways of the world. It's not because they read one thing. It's because they have the experience over a decades of doing something that other people are not willing to do.

First things.. oreo zip hoodie.. and I really do hate to see so much things have changed. Capitalism has seemed to have accelerated towards the end game pretty quick, the you own nothing, everything will be an endless subscription came faster than expected. I find this stuff interesting, I am sure their will be a breaking point or people will just accept their corporate overlords.
