Yorkshire Dales: Swaledale (B6270) drive part 2

Happy memories of Gunnerside, my Dad had a shop there and I used to travel over on a Friday for the weekend. I caught a little bus from Richmond ( Percival's bus ) driven by Billy or George, and on the way up to Gunnerside the driver would stop at different farm gateways and I would open door and drop parcels off for the farmers up the dale. It was a lovely run up swaledale. But winters were bad, sometimes the road was blocked with snow, and the bus had to return to Richmond, so my weekend at home with dad was spoilt. This was in 1967. I lived and worked on Teesside, but just loved to get home when I could. Happy memories of a beautiful Swaledale. Thank you for posting this.👍

PHEW! Many thanks for this. My group organisor has given me over 2 hours to do the 35 min drive from The Wensleydale Creamery to Redmire station (twf?) so I thought I might take them via the high and scenic route (still only an hour plus waiting/passing time). Street view on google maps wasn't quite enough so I'm glad I watched your drive, saved a drama...we will NOT be doing this now!
