What this video doesn't show is that Daley almost made a monumental blunder in the Pole Vault, failing with his first two attempts at his opening height. One more failure would have meant no points from the event and the certain loss of the Gold Medal (which would have been ironic as he was also representing England at the individual Pole Vault event at these games.) I remember him saying after he cleared his third attempt that he was "shaking like a leaf!"

I think this shows his decathlon. In that games he also represented us in the pole vault and won it I think, not to mention representing us in some sprints too. The other Carl Lewis
