The problem with trolls in a battle like this. Is that The trolls have a longer reach than the melee lego units. And since the lego guys are on hold mode. They cant move closer to actually fight back. Giving the trolls alott of "free" kills.

Put them into attack mode once they contact the enemy so that they can fill gaps.

just so you know having melee units on hold make them next to useless as they can't consolidate them self for pushing the enemies meaning less swords men vs enemy you should allways put melee troops on guard mode so they only go and attack if enemy get to close

I agree, guard mode is superior whit melee units. Especially against trolls. You can see the trolls attacking units that is not able to attack back because they are on hold mode with shorter reach than trolls. However guard mode is not without its fault. A lot of times units on guard mode will overextend and push to far out. Leaving them without their support fire.

I'm curious. Do you have to place big chunks of units together? 10000 at a time? Or could you scatter out trolls here and there? 5000 trolls in groups of 5 to 10 all over the place, so they're more of a sudden smash, not just a big thump.

the game allows you to have a limit amount off groups off like i think 18? or 16 so he can definetly split them up in smaller groups
