Dali should make an upgrade to the Epicon 2 speakers...add the ribbon tweeter along with the soft dome tweeter and another driver for a standmount similar to the Rubicon 6

No matter where you position these types of column speakers, they will never give a good deep bass response. That's why people today have subwoofers. I remember growing up as a teenager in the 1970s when many domestic home speakers came in large size cabinets that could house a ten or 12 inch woofer along with a midrange unit and tweeters inside it. Sure, they were big, but bloody beautiful looking and sounded great. Nowadays, all speakers are skinny columns that look like they would fall over if you sneeze.

Are you stupid or something? B&W 800 D3 has two 10" bass units on each. How wil lthat not produce enough bass?

A lot of 70s speakers had up to four sometimes six 10 to 12 inch woofers. Some had 16 inch woofers. a TON of bass.

Speaker technology has evolved since the 70's. Today there's no need to use a 12" driver. In fact, a modern 10" or even 8" driver can dig much deeper and with much greater accuracy than the larger older drivers did.
