It's your world, so your rules. Minecraft is sandbox game and vanilla is a spectrum. So there's no right or wrong way to play it. As long as it helps you to enjoy the game and avoid burnout that's what matters. I am really enjoying this series. I listen and watch it while studying and gaming. It's very fun. Keep up the good work! You can still get diamonds in skulk areas. And its even easier if you silence all the shriekers with wool because no mobs spawn unless they track you from nearby caves outside the skulk biome. Tuff doesn't affect how many diamonds you find. I've always found them in tuff.
