Baazigar was instantly hit, songs were very nice and popular. People had a lot of craze for this movie even at that time. Cinema halls were full. I remember how people used to describe that it was not easy to get movie tickets. Hard to believe distributors were not buying it.

Back then it was a risk to invest in new comers and shahrukh wasnt that good looking aswell. Call it a luck for Bollywood that shahrukh came in and is now at the top..along WITH BOLLYWOOD💝 ..there are many stars who help Bollywood same but ultimately its the stats that count❤…there is always a BADSHAH in every field.

Baazigar was a phenomenal movie.... I still watching it. It was the opposite of the quintessential Bollywood family drama movie and shocked people of of their slumber. A truly iconic film with a legendary jodi of SRK and Kajol, fantastic music, great dialogues, good humor and an edgy storyline. Will always remain one of my faves.

This movie was an instant hit and that iconic scene shah rukh taking off his helmet after winning the race and walking in slowmo was 🔥. Ofcourse the songs were on top 1 for several weeks on all tv shows famously philips top 10 on zee tv. As a school kid we all used to imitate shah rukhs dialogue delivery. Golden 90s❤️

A kiss before dying remake Baazigar was really the best 1993 film of crime tragedy film and to be honest there were people and some big star film - makers were used to humiliate SRK and his films even I had heard that the actress Rakhee said she will never work with SRK because of his negative roles in movies but SRK didn't stopped he convinced her soo because of that she further worked with her in films like Karan - Arjun ( 1995 ) and Baadshah ( 1999 ) ........ and his stubborness for hard - work and dedication , not losing hope made him the King Khan of our Bollywood .......... ❤💖💗💓............

Baazigar is not a remake of a kiss before dying. The storyline was almost quite different. But yeah many scenes in baazigar was definetly inspired from a kiss before dying. But I will say Baazigar is much of a better film than a kiss before dying.

I think it is just ageing. He was talking about Darr, then said "Darr ke baad" and started talking about Baazigar, which came before Darr. Then he says "Darr ki shooting start ho gayi" while referring to Baazigar. Just typical forgetfulness when you get old because you have had such a long life and so much to remember, things get confusing. I have already started to feel that, and I am 39. Imagine at 70.

Bombay Dreams the musical Bhushan Haveliram in Buniyaad a serial on partition in the early 80's brilliantly written, powerhouses of acting from the brick and gullies to each human cast . Baazigaar of course From Wiki : This has to be said about Mr Dalip that he was a institution of acting in his school days Tahil began to appear on stage while at Sherwood College, Nainital, at the age of 10. His participation over the years in choir, elocution competitions, nativity plays, and formal and informal concerts gave him a platform to be cast in principal parts. During his senior years at school, he won the Kendall Cup for the best actor in two consecutive years, first as Joseph in the play My Three Angels and again as Macbeth in Shakespeare's Macbeth. He was declared the best actor for a record third time in 1969, his final year at Sherwood College

In 1996, I was shocked to see BAAZIGAR O BAAZIGAR song at 10th position in a top 10 countdown. 3 years after the release, the song still in top 10??? That never happened before or after. That ANU MALIK of 1993-1995 vanished with time. Very sad. 😮😮😮

Salman made Baazigar Hit. Sallu suggested to put backstory of The hero, to justify his killings. Directors didn't listen. Sallu rejected the film. Later after Distributors refused to buy the movie, the makers remembered Sallu's advice and added the sympathetic backstory. Now it is confirmed by what Dilip ji is saying.
