David Angu & the tribe's new MV is nostalgic , The song "Daliye Dali" is not just a folk song it carries the essence of our tradition, culture & past glory before the advent of modern era. A very good work ! I am very happy to see Takar Nabam and others behind David, wearing those traditional dress and playing the guitars, this also signifies unity among the Tani brothers. Long before there were no designated tribes called Adi, Galo, Tagin, etc..we were all Tani. In the modern times, to designate and institutionalized the tribe name has been developed based on their settlement ,story culture naming patterns etc. Wish we could be united as aTani.

Just waiting for that person who will unite all our tani brothers one day. It would be nice if we identify ourselves as tani instead of tagin ,galo ,apatani,nyishi . We can have more unity. Just like nagas and mizo's they have also many sub-tribes but they still indentifies themselves as nagas and mizo's .

From what I understand, this is a folk song that depicts a conversation between a woman and her son's caretaker, who is her nephew. The nephew, despite not being very bright, asks for a reward for his labor, and the woman engages in some bargaining. In the end, the nephew receives what he asked for. This folksong reflects that our society always had the idea of cultural value of respecting labor and honoring human relationships. Although the artist have taken some creative liberties, I thoroughly enjoyed it and have no complaints. It's a nostalgic memory from my childhood, as it was a popular performance at every social gatherings. Great piece of art from David angu and band 🔥
