Next time you hunt sheep.... Bring a shotgun and some buckshot. It will tighten up those groups at 350 yards. 😉

If you make dope cards for elevation and check elevation from your GPS tpo maps.... You'll save a lot of money on ammo. 0-1000 meters is 13 percent change in air pressure. Massively affects bullet drop at range.

@@sasquatchrosefartsthanks for the info. I think my dope is good but have noticed a tendency in my shooting, trying to determine if it’s a setup or technique issue. 3rd shot was exactly where I wanted it

@@ericsieben8769 you create dope cards that have elevation listed, as well as elevation differential, for shooting up and down hill? And air temp ? And you sight your barrel and scope at a similar temperature to expected hunting temp? We are talking about several inches when you start shooting beyond three hundred yards. If you read wind and there is a group size of eight inches with variable wind..... And then you add an inch from fatigue, and an inch from heart rate, and an inch from shooting down a hill, and an inch from shooting at a different temp vs when you sighted.... All of a sudden you can't hit the broad side of a barn. The group size maybe blown up to sixteen inches. Add in ammo variability, for another inch or two.... And not only do you not hit vitals, but you miss the animal completely. You need better dope cards, and cards for shooting up and downslope. They weigh almost nothing.

I woukd bring a multiplier card for air temp and elevation.....and bring a dope card for horizontal shooting, and then a card each for fifteen degrees, thirty degrees, and forty five degrees. They aren't the same for up and downhill but they're close enough.... Within a couple inches. Minus forty five degrees downhill shot is ten inches off vs a horizontal shot. At 350 yards.
