The Dallas Cowboys traded down to the No. 12 slot and still focused on fixing their poorly rated defense in the 2021 NFL Draft. Eight of their eleven picks were on the defensive side of the ball, including their first six selections. Pro Football Focus gave the Cowboys a B grade for their draft performance. Just because you draft defense, doesn’t mean the picks will magically work out. They made 2 great picks in Cox and Parsons. And one good pick in Bohanna Cowboys keep drafting boom or bust players on defense: Charlton, Anae, Odighizuwa, Wright, Joseph etc. and most the time, these players miss and miss badly. Cowboys constantly swing for the fences looking for a hidden superstar talent, rather than getting a nice role player. They did it this year with DB’s drafting the lengthy corners with questionable tape.

Irony is Micah Parsons probably could play Strong Safety better than any of the safeties that were on the board. Of course he is better as a DE, OLB, or ILB than probably any of the others drafted at that those positions.

This was a solid B draft...they filled the wholes we needed..they might not have been the players we wanted but they all have potential..skip is buggin

Not really...we don't have anyone very good who can come if we have a couple of injuries at offensive tackle, our starting offensive guard isnt very good, we don't have anyone reliable who can come in at CB if there's an injury or two there, PLUS Brown and Lewis are on bery short contracts...we have one good FREE Safety whos super injury prone AND on a one year deal...and we now have like 9 linebackers/strong Safety's...and you can only play ONE strong safety and two Linebackers at a time...and and we finally drafted a run stuffing DT but the guy we got was the least talented out of all the ones available and can't rush the passer....so were gonna still have offensive line Issues, coverage issues and DT's that struggle...but at least well have all the box Safety's, Linebackers, and tweener DEs/3tech DTs...than we could EVER use...I dont think adding a bunch of clones to a position of strength is smart while ignoring the real Issues

Having watched every game Kelvin played, I can tell you he is a SHUT DOWN corner. Against Alabama, when they put up ungodly numbers against UK, only 3 passes went towards Kelvin, who guarded the Heisman winner. Mac Jones went 0/3, with 1 interception and 2 pass deflections for Joseph. He's a ball hawk, he's tough, and yeah, he's temperamental. If you can iron out some of the kinks, he's got potential pro bowler written all over him.

Never listen to skip. I’m glad the Cowboys draft went exactly opposite of what skip bayless wanted it to go. That just means that the Cowboys did good. And our Cowboys are SET. Watch. 2021-2022 season with these new defensive draft picks and Dak back, we gonna be killers. Defense wins championships.

Man was skip completely wrong on this draft class. Osa Odighizuwa was all up in the mix first week against the Bucs. I forgot about Jabril Cox. Get him back next year and this front 7 is looking nasty. What a turnaround from last year. Pretty much every new player has contributed in major ways. The Cowboys played Wilson the last half of the games our 2019 6th round pick. He had 2 picks 2 fumble recoveries 3 forced fumbles. 3.5 sacks. He plays so much like Kam Chancellor. I think he will take the starting SS spot and run with it. Kneal was a good pickup too. Safety will be okay
