Dallas firefighter William Scott Tanksley funeral procession. A Dallas firefighter killed last week after he was struck by a vehicle has been buried in a ceremony that drew hundreds of firefighters from across the state.
Funeral services for William Scott Tanksley were Monday in Terrell, east of Dallas.
Following the memorial, a long procession carried Tanksley to the Restland Cemetery-Garden of Honor in Dallas.

I was in my first year at Mississippi State University when he was a pitcher for the Bulldogs. We can go any day, and he went too young, but Mr. Tanksley leaves behind a heck of a legacy.....one of a husband, father, and sacrifice for his fellow man. R.I.P.

i can tell that William was loved by his Country because not only people came to stand along the Highway but the Traffic on the other side of the Highway came to a Stop in Respect for William. well done and very Moving millions of People dont even know him and Yet they had alot of respect for the Firefighter who gave his life,he is one of the True Heroes. my heart and Respect goes to the Family and wish them the best.
