She whined on Southfork all the time cause every little thing didn't go her way. Bobby was too much of a man to let her dictate how he should do business. He refused to walk away from Ewing Oil for her. She was less whiney with Mark because old caterpillar stache just kissed her feet and let her do whatever she wanted. And she had the baby (that Bobby got her) that she wanted so bad and piles of money she didn't have to work for.

Mark didn't have any family that Pam ever had to butt heads with while they were together. Her life was way less complicated with him. The best thing for Pam and Bobby was for them simply to have moved away from Southfork to avoid all the trouble that JR brought to them while they were living there.
