Of Jock's 4 sons, only Bobby had the guts to stand up to him

Also he was the "Favorite" which gave him more Carte Blanche. In his own way Jock "respected" Bobby when he stood up to him at The Cattleman's Club when Jock took Money out for The Takapa Deal.

Yes. It's a shame that "This" Southfork was ruined in a Fire and several episodes later the same thing happens with The TV Southfork.

It’s important for a Husband to stand up for his wife. The opposite is also true. My In Laws were like Everybody Likes Raymond. My Father in Law, was even named Frank.

Can't blame the Ewings for thinking that Pam was guilty. I mean she is after all a Barnes first, and a Ewing second so there you go.

Pam wasn't at fault and also didn't know Julie was gonna pull of stunt like that giving those documents to Cliff Barnes .

Each person was in their own way guilty. Bobby was "careless", JR was very upset that Bobby was making his bones at Ewing Oil, he didn't like sharing the power. It was one thing to deal with Bobby being Jock's favorite but working with him at Ewing Oil was a thorn on his side. Also if Sue Ellen hadn't whined so much when he came home, he may not have stomped over to Julie's in the first place. Julie was a sad example of how women put their whole life on hold for a Man especially if he is married and come out of it with nothing.

She was younger here than when the show ended. That could have something to do with it. I noticed Bobby looked younger here than in the TNT version of Dallas in 2012.

@jksonny Maybe so, but think about it, Pam had wanted their acceptance so much that she would never do anything to hurt her place in the Family, it was her fault in the sense that she "distracted" Bobby when he had the Files when he decided to work at Home. The File fell behind the Sofa, she brought it to the Office, Julie Gray knew all of the happenings and used it to hurt Pam to get back at JR for treating her like a Tramp.

Anyone notice that there is a different southfork home? I did.

Yes, the last time they used this Southfork was when at The BBQ and Pam told Bobby A Boy Or A Girl Riddle. This one unfortunately burned down.

It was the Cloyce Box Ranch. Unfortunately, it burned down in 1987. The first five episodes, including this one, were a miniseries it did so well in the ratings that CBS picked it up as a full series. I admit, I like the Cloyce Box Ranch better than the more iconic “Duncan Acres Ranch”

Nobody wanted to help Pamela Barnes Ewing out because she is related to Cliff Barnes and that is one family, according to the prequel of "DALLAS", titled "DALLAS: The Early Years". Please have a nice day today. ©® October 26, 2022 @ 10:25 pm ©®

I HATTTTEEEEE the first Southfork. Hate it, hate it, hate it. It’s WAY too pretentious for a man like Jock. The other Southfork fits him like a glove

I agree, Jacob Christner. The 2nd Southfork does "fit him like a glove."...more rugged looking...more western style.

Hate is maybe a bit to harsh but you are right. I like the Southfork Ranch from season 2 way more because it´s much lighter, a big contrast to the icy atmosphere while breakfast and dinner. The first one depressed me...to much dark wood.

It was the Cloyce Box ranch in what is now Frisco, TX. Box agreed to let them film the original miniseries there. But when the show was picked up he wouldn’t let them continue to use his house. So the producers flew around Collin County in a helicopter. About 15 miles away in Parker, they came across Duncan Acres. They convinced Mr. Duncan to let them use his house in exchange for a handsome payment as well as a four week paid summer vacation so they could film. This meant they had to film all of their location shots, including winter, in the Texas summer. The original Southfork burned down in the 80’s. But it’s frame still stands at Preston Rd and Main St in Frisco. And Duncan Acres is now known as Southfork Ranch and is a tourist attraction.
