Seven years ago I entered into this forth Gospel type: His Kingdom life now, thanks to Jesus working via my Councilor, John Eldridge, Dr. Dan Allender, and then my dearest mentor with Christ, Dallas Willard. Greatest and hardest seven years with greatest Joyful peaceful growth in living the whole life Gospel by Ginoskoing Jesus. I now learn from Jesus with others, splendid. It's very rare in my small domain of Christians. Most hug onto the partial Gospels 1-3 as discussed and leaving these is like heresy, even to talk of. But I too was one. Life in Christ is so different even as babes, it's just seems so disconnected. Until I meet Jesus with Connect, with God, Ginoskoing Jesus people. Now I know why God is so patient. We are very slow to change and learn. Agape of God with obiedance opens this life resulting in a John 8.31&32 life experience. I'm excited to learn daily from Jesus in a life with God now with others. Thank you for this most concise DW message

You just named the 3 people who most helped me. John Eldredge, who first painted a picture for me of what it looked like as a man who was seriously pursuing the life Jesus offers. And because John talks to much about Dallas, I started reading Dallas. And because John and Dan are such good friends, I started listening to Dan. I even went to Dan’s story workshop. I now realize that none of the preachers I grew up listening to and following never understood the gospel. Only Dallas has been able to explain it all in a way that makes it so clear and such perfect sense. Thank God for Dallas.

56:44 - Church growth = bigger Christians. "That would be church growth: bigger Christians."

What he says makes sense...I know that in my life. But the problem I hesitate is that it implies that many Christian preachers aren't there and are missing salvation and as result are unawarely false . I prefer to be more open. How can I reconcile that?

Paul Robinson, not sure many are missing out on Salvation but they are not living the With God life that Dallas talks about. You go to the video of Dallas Willard funeral and people like Dr. Richard J. Foster and John Ortberg are reminiscing and very much in awe of the way of Dallas, his Christ likeness. We are all on a journey and as Paul said to the jailer or Jesus said to the man on the cross, choose to make Him the King of your heart and then proceed. None of us will ever know it all but we can know Christ in the Spirit and eventually, in the Flesh of Perfection. Shalom.

@@michaelbrickley2443 I have reluctance to get involved in the Lordship Salvation verse Free Grace debate as I think they define "Grace" and "Faith" differently and talk passed each other..and are probably both missing that life with God.So I'd not look at "making him King of your heart" as I think the gospel declares him King of all... We don't make him any.thing. That's why I think Dallas Willard is a breath of fresh insight for many from different traditions. Maybe he didnt want to exclude others also. I learnt to hear the Spirit clearly thru his book hearing God. Life has never been the same since

I think it’s perhaps better to describe the others as presenting a partial or piece of the truth, but not the whole. And without the whole, things get real confusing. I look back on my years before understanding what Dallas so easily explains as just a time of confusion about what God is up to in the world. I understood parts, but not the whole. Like pieces of a puzzle that I could not assemble into a recognizable picture.
