Dallas Willard - An Invitation to a "With God Life" in Jesus

Dallas leads us through the scriptures to help us understand God’s great plan to offer a “with God life” to everyone who will put their confidence in Jesus. In Christ, the barrier between God’s life and our lives has been broken. I wonder what Dallas would have thought of the Pandemic and the reaction of governments?

Well...that's a very interesting question. I believe he would have made more than a few points, but I'm sure he would remind us that our lives are in Christ and we are perfectly safe. What do you think he would say?

@@dallaswillard I think he would compare the reaction of the world to the disciples panicking in the boat with Jesus in the storm. Today, there is a pervasive denial of our bodily death and the reality of God's provision for us. I think he would acknowledge the problem of Covid19 but also remark on the panicking. There is a lack of faith there. I'm not saying I have that kind of trust and faith yet but through practicing the disciplines it's growing.

​@@wmalgal Wonderful thoughts Allen. I agree with you. We can learn from Jesus that it really is OK to die. My mother-in-law passed away in her sleep about 4 months before the pandemic got going. I got to experience God's healing by inviting Him into grieving in myself and others.

I wonder if he would acknowledge that the response to the pandemic by governments was imperfect (as is the response of every human institution). At the same time, perhaps he would see the pandemic as an opportunity for the Church to serve: to limit our personal freedoms for the sake of the medically vulnerable.
