I think that this 'abandoned mansion' was actually a very nicely built group home for recovering addicts- thus the AA sheet on one of the bed-room walls. n.b. that most of the bed-rooms have bunk beds. In the country-side, small towns, cities, suburbs there are all sorts of group homes tucked away in North America and elsewhere for: recovering drug addicts/alcoholics, people with mental/physical dis-abilities, et al... Toronto is going 'thru a big problem with COVID and attempts to house the home-less in empty apartment buildings/hotels. You can see that this place was really well cared for and it's sad to think that whatever organization that was running it was fore-closed. Without the proper infra-structure, properly trained workers, and financial assistance, many of these projects fail. From personal experience, a relative in recovery was put in one of these places where people were unsupervised and it was nothing but chaos. We need to do better for the more fragile members of our society!

I was wondering why there was an examination table in one of the front rooms in the last video. It didn't make sense because 1 its so deep into that property its not gonna be a office from a doctor to work out of. Plus no external door for patients to enter. I use to see a therapist that worked out of her home and she had a external door a small waiting room and than her office, it was all attached to the home but locked off from the rest of them home.

There are a lot of abandoned mansions vacant and soon to be torn down. Many are 30 to 20 years old. Some still beautiful. Some vandalized and some just rotting due to neglect. Those built years ago, the value is now in the land. Land goes up in value while the house on it does not always. Therefore they are torn down. More elaborate homes are built on that site. Some become new subdivisions of large homes in the 4 to 6 thousand square feet, gated communities!!!

Main house has extensive water damage to the first floor. Most of the structure seams to been built around housing poeple. The garage looks to be converted into exam rooms. There is still a structure in the back of the property that was not covered, nore was the void under the guest house. Given everything I viewed on the 2 videos, there is about 1 to 1.5 million in repairs needed above the purchase price. If the house was ever converted back to a family home and not a business hideaway, it would be a great house.

Hi Alex. Thank you for watching my video. In order to fix it up to where it was before, I think it will need carpet, baseboards, paint, swimming pool resurfacing, and other cosmetic things. The water damage was already fixed by the restoration company. So all in all, I think it cost about $150K. I'm not an estimator, inspector, or appraiser, so I can't really confirm anything. It's just my guess.

Wow! What a huge home. It's a shame that it's just sitting and basically rotting away. Since this video is from 2020, I hope it finally sold. The people that lived there definately lived the life of luxury. 1.5 million for a house that size and on 44 acres is absolutely jaw dropping that the cost is that low now. I wonder how much it cost to build that house and buy that property oringinally? Some of the decor left behind is so pretty too. Although the price is low for everything, it would take about another couple million to just to fix up the home inside and get some great lawn care service too. Lol. Thanks for the video.

That's a pond with a pier by the front entrance. The property is currently under contract. Thanks for watching 👍

@@DallasHomesForSale Does it come with a free lawn cut so I know what the property really looks like or now I gotta put at least 500000 to a million into this house to make it look presentable
