The green fencing was for Elton John Concert and also the reason why half a dozen Flexity trams were stranded for a few nights at the Imperial Hotel. The points are controlled by transponder equipment in the tram.

Well done Gary, great as ever. I had chance to ride the flexities a couple of weeks ago and was very impressed. Still miss the old stuff but it good to be able to rely on the fleet now.

Not sure what livery 631 will be in, but it's good to know it has the seats out of 700. The dewires on 600 do point to trolley pole problems with this tram as Bolton 66 was out on the same day and was OK. Thanks for watching Ashtramcrazy.

I believe the box in the tower has the transponder equipment in it, makes you wonder where the equipment is in 604.

OMO 8 is unlikely to ever run again in Blackpool and their is only one OMO in Blackpool that I know of. Thanks for your watching and your kind comments Doctortrek1.

I think the reason for 700 being modernised as appose to 717, is that 717 was nearer to original condition than 700 was. It was a shame they couldn't of left 700 alone, but at least it is still a runner. Thanks for your very kind comments 2259Ben.

I think the only way we will every see a brush in original condition on Blackpool Tramway is if one the preservation lot fully restore one and it is loaned to Blackpool Transport. I walk along the tramway a lot and is quite strange not seeing the Centenary cars out and about. It is sad to see where most of them are now, but at least they haven't been scrapped.

Yes it was at Bispham that 600 dewired. I also prefer 604 especially as it doesn't have that hideous box in the tower. Like you say 631 it is a bit of a flying machine, sure it would a give a Flexity a run for it's money. Thanks for watching and your kind comments Rob.

Apparently, according to Facebook, the bus seats in 631 have now been fitted to the top deck of 700 which has surrendered its top deck swing over seats to 631. Any news what livery it will recive? I noticed many times at Bispham last year that 600s trolley always dewires on the first overhead frog to the centre track! Has it got a faulty trolley pole as other trolley fitted trams don't seem to do this here. Can't wait till Easter to see the Heritage trams again and ride on them!

Nice effort, Gary :) I had the pleasure of riding both 230 (604) and 631 these past couple of days. 631 is a right little speed machine! Not lost it's touch from last year! It was nice to have a ride aboard my first 'proper' Boat car since 602 in 2010! Last year was 600 only and that, for me, is too modernised. Nice car but I prefer 604! I see 600 dewired again! Bispham, I take it?

hi mate! great video once again! glad to see some more 'older tram action' at Blackpool other than 706 'Princess Alice' and box.40. do you or anyone know here you can buy the hadfield's plastic model tram souvenir kits for 00 gauge? i have plans to put a tram depot on my model railway, and it would be nice to have a bit of a change from Bachmann birkenhead trams no.69 and 70!

I think it was the roof design that was one of the reasons why pantograph car was chosen as the carriage.

Most of the adverts are now on buses, so not sure what the future is for the widened balloons.

There were rumours flying around that the tram was being moved on the Saturday morning which turned out to be true. When it left the paint shop they used a bus to obscure viewing and then used Balloon 717 as in video to do the same. Obtained video by resting camera on top of fence (7 or 8ft) which was not easy.

That's what I said to the conductor aboard 631 on Tuesday! Seemed faster than a Flexity! But then again, de-cap them and they will soon shift!

OMO 8 belongs to the LTT so is no longer part of Blackpool tram fleet.

Great video again, please please continue to film Blackpool trams! I am just disgusted with BT for them not leaving 700 in a properly preserved state. It was the original open top balloon, they wasted money refitting original features like trolley poles and the 1940's livery, just do undo the hard work a few years later. Would have made more sense for 717 to have the flexity livery which I happen to actually like. From now on 700 is to me a Pretendo flexity. (bad pun) Just my opinion though...

I got a couple more questions... at 1:20 why is ther a green board across the track? And finally, how are points changed with the upgrades? I know it used to be manual but I didn't know if they had put some clever electrical/automatic system in? Thanks again.

Great video looking at a whole range of Blackpool's trams. I think the new centipede trams livery is awful in white and purple. Respray them green and cream please.
