Great video,you done brilliant considering you are on all terrain tyres,mud’s would ave made a major difference,but bit expensive to have two sets of tyres,I find the bfgs a great tyre,only downside is they have gone very expensive,don’t know what I’ll be replacing my bfgs with in the future.but once again great video ,nice to see a shogun in the mud,instead of the usual Land Rover 🤣👍👍keep the videos coming

Thank you so much I really appreciate this comment! Yes we were very impressed that despite being on all terrains, the shogun pretty much did everything else that the rest did! ☺️. It would definitely be expensive having 2 sets of tyres so this is just a compromise for us as the shogun is generally a workhorse. I also think it’s Achilles heel was the fact it’s long wheel base not short. I think that’s why it kept becoming a cropper on the hills haha!

Superb, I also have a mk4 Shogun and they are an awesome vehicle in stock form and only require small changes to make them unstoppable, In my opinion you did better than the modded blue discovery..

Thanks Gordon! The Shogun is definitely an impressive machine! I reckon it wouldn’t have got stuck if we had have had pure off road tyres on it.

Stock shogun seems very capable. I did not expect it to go trough some places it did. It seems tires are all you need.

It would have done so much better if it had been short wheel base not long and had pure off road tyres. It’s definitely an impressive vehicle.

Ah it was originally just meant to be a video for my channel but people got quite excited by the fact I was filming so I added a bit more. It was difficult keeping up with everyone but making sure I captured my husband ha!

Looks like a cracking day out, Shogun's are a very capable 4x4, and reliable, I've had landrovers 90's, 110's, defenders for the last 30 years and you have to keep on top of them to keep them reliable unlike the mitsubishi which is just more reliable out of the box.....( I still love my Landys though)....

The shogun has had a few issues but it’s only been a few. It was definitely a good day, the husband really enjoyed it 😁. The hubby used to have a discovery 3 ☺️.

Yeah I agree lwb can be a problem,I’ve got a 50mm suspension lift on mine and am running 265 65r18 bf Goodrich at tyres ,di fancy mud tyres but I’m mostly travelling on the road with occasional off road,so didn’t fancy the noise of muds,but saying that my ko2 still are starting to get noisy now as they have been on for years and are wearing,but great tyre,it’s hard to keep up with vehicles that have been modded a lot for off road especially if they are not used as a daily driver I think you use yours.besides you’ve got the reliability of the shogun over a lot of other 4x4s won’t mention any names 🤣🤣

We do have a 2inch lift on ours and I think it did make a difference. Yeah exactly we are mainly on the normal roads so the all terrains are a trade off ☺️. Yeah ours is our daily runner. We used it to tow the horse box as we have horses. Haha! It’s had its issues but it’s never let us down in terms of being able to drive it ha!

I think the shogun does it’s definitely a good little off roader. If we had the short wheel base I don’t think it would have got beached.

Expensive unfortunately modifying anything apart from a Land Rover in the uk cost an absolute fortune but nice truck I was going to order those steps from Australia but with shipping big bucks 😢😢
