@td12345-s4 жыл бұрын
For around 5-10 seconds, I met Yordan once while on the Round Rock Express (AAA Minor Leagues) during the pregame on June 1st. He was out of the lineup so he could rest. Bet they were anticipating his call up soon and may have wanted to freshen him up a bit. He made time for fans and I spoke Spanish to him so he could feel welcome and secondly in order to get his autograph. He seemed impressed because he did a 180 degree turnaround to sign a baseball card. REALLY cool man! He's calm, collected, patient, and humble from what I could see from the 3-5 minutes I saw of him. I LOVE how he tried to make time for people even with the little time he had. He was the last one out before the National Anthem was sang. These players get SO busy and sometimes, I can feel bad for some of these athletes who don't have time and wish they had more time to make for fans. They get BUSY!!!!

Yordan wears Hank Aaron's 44 like a boss. 2020 lets get it
@Twelvehourpowernap4 жыл бұрын
Seriosuly. No one better to represent. That 44 stands for toughness, dependability, reliability, durability, consistency, perseverance, humility, and sustained excellence. Every single season, year in and year out for 20 years straight, you could depend on the Hammer to hit .300 with 40 home runs and drive in 100 runs, to chase down balls in the outfield and throw baserunners out. Most people don' t know this, because he only won three Gold Gloves, but Henry Aaron was a stud in right field and he had a cannon for a right arm. Only Roberto Clemente threw out more baserunners from right field over the course of a career, and in his first season in the outfield Aaron threw out 17 baserunners - a number that went way down once players knew not to test his arm. And Willie Mays always got more credit because of his exciting and entertaining play style, but at the end of the day, Aaron was the best, most consistent hitter of that time. He never got hurt. He never struck out 100 times in a season. And every year, he was gonna be top 5 in batting average, home runs, RBI, OPS, you name it
