Yes him and Serj Tankian from system of a Down, David is a Jew (at least ethnically/culturally) and Serj is Armenian (possibly Jewish as well???) So their cultures singing styles originate from 2 very close cultures geologically speaking... you can see some of the ways they'll hang on notes and sing in a similar style they use in the Middle East sometimes.
