Drake’s mistake came before that line. I think he had two fatal flaws. One was he didn’t take Kendrick serious enough. He tried to take on all comers instead of focusing on that beef. The second in my opinion was he didn’t understand Kendrick lyrics. I don’t know if he ever actually listened to Dot or if someone else told him what to say. Either way it was clear that Drake didn’t respect the game or Kendrick’s talent.
