Frantically trying to figure out a way to fix this, and you were the only one with a video of the same issue, Thanks so much for putting out your knowledge and it helped with my issues!

Thanks to to the video i figure out my issue...the problem was a clogged hose making my valve act like if it was stuck open sounding just like yours..thank you for the explanation

Dang cold weather & moisture in the air lines anyway. Glad you were able to take care of the issue on the ol' Freight Shaker. Hope you & your family have a Happy New Year.

Thank you Wade. They are talking about 3-16 inches of snow tomorrow. Lol. Maybe a week sitting on my tractor moving snow. Time with tell. Lol

That’s a safety valve, the unloader valve is inside the air compressor w/ o rings.

Damn cold weather makes it's fun !🤬

Ya, it's net even that cold. Pieces of "pepper" in the unloader vavle spring wouldn't let it close completely. Dam thing pumps as much oil as air.
@GosselinFarmsEdGosselin3 жыл бұрын
Figured it was a frozen line... Otherwise the pop off shouldn't pop.. but,... Thanks for the video Doc!! And the mention👍
@martinbenton7423 жыл бұрын
Thing is, it isn't that cold. Lol. Last year it did the same thing. Cleaned up the dump valve and away it went. Who knows. It's ready for Tuesday.

@@GosselinFarmsEdGosselin I don't know if the ice could be seen in the valve, inside, and little chunks of shit, like pepper, in the spring section. It wasn't closing completely. The dam compressor has been next to junk for the 6 years I've driven it. Oh well, it's going for now.
@GosselinFarmsEdGosselin3 жыл бұрын
@@martinbenton742 but.. the ice shouldn't affect it if it's already closed... The governor on the pumpkin sticks sometimes.. it just won't let it build pressure.. couple taps and it's good for a month...but someday....
@martinbenton7423 жыл бұрын
@@GosselinFarmsEdGosselin it wasn't completely closed. The bit of ice and chunks of crap were holding it open a bit. I didn't know that until I took my glove off and held my hand back there.

I have a friend who’s compressor would freeze up. He drove for another guy. I think he used that to sleep in, lol!

What’s the name of that part and where does it locate
@martinbenton742 Жыл бұрын
It's a dump valve. Located on the engine side of the head.

Yep, cold air and moisture don’t mix.

I think it was an airdryer frozen
@martinbenton742 Жыл бұрын
It was froze from this valve into the dryer. Happens every winter because the company didn't do any dryer maintenance for this truck.
@user-jr8lf6pl2m Жыл бұрын
@@martinbenton742 in order for the steam to freeze before reaching the air dryer, the hose must be too long. In my own practice of truck driving the freezing point is formed (if it happens) in the air dryer.
