I have no idea if the Dome was profitable for HTF, but the event struck me as a demo derby with high dollar cars. Endless caution flags are not my thing.

I watched someone (random person) videoing from the stands, I think the LCQ? That's some boring racing. If not for the guys, I'd never watch a full minute of any of it.

I think the HTF Team got a lot of exposure at the Dome. Definitely an exciting race for a lot of fans. The fans were loud and having fun. Hope HTF goes back next year.

Risk assessment is a part of about anything, but it looked to me that the risk of tearing up an expensive late model was off the charts at the Dome. Whether those dollars might be better ear marked for upgrading the program for the 2024 race season would give me pause in participating at the Dome demo derby.

Jordan shocked BShep knew his name when every crew out there is wishing they had a Jordy. The boy don’t realize he’s a diamond from the ruff. You never see the boy not on top of everything working to make stuff happen and he does it right. He’s on top of it for sure and then when he’s not getting stuff done on the late models he’s working on his own modified. It was good to see him get a new to him rolling chassis for this next season. The few crews I’ve been around I’ve heard people talking about him and they all say the same thing, wish we had a Jordy. Keep up the hard work young man, you never know where it’ll lead you.

I'm watching the video and about the time Jordy got the car soaped up I thought, "WOW, that soap actually smells REALLY good". Then I stopped and wondered how the heck can I smell that soap on a video? About that time my son opened the bathroom door and I realized he'd just got out of the shower and THAT'S what I smelled.

I felt so bad for you guys when I watched the "Dome" race videos. The indoor races are pretty exciting because of all of the constant action, but you have to really like the wrecks to want to ever go back again even as a spectator. Having been a racer in my past, I don't think I would ever do an indoor race twice, once would be enough for me. I just don't like getting everything torn up constantly. I compare them to the bumper cars at an amusement park or a demo derby. There you try to hit everyone you can, but it's supposed to be the opposite when you're racing. I always liked it best when all of the racers tried to not even touch another car during a race. I like it best when a race goes flag to flag with no cautions. Having said that, I absolutely love to watch your videos. I have the utmost respect for your whole race team. You guys always display good sportsmanship and your whole crew and family are such a tightknit group. You're always so respectful, polite, and optimistic even when it's hard to bite your tongue. Believe me when I say that I've been in that spot and it's hard to do at times. I will continue watching your videos every chance I get. All of you are a real inspiration in this day and age and that says a lot for your character. God bless each and every one of you.

I'm completely with Joseph's attitude about racing. Take what it gives you. Sometimes you show up, wreck in hot-laps & heat race. Patch the car together, tag the tail and just stroke it till the end. End up top 5 just phoning it in. Lot's of throttle jockey's just tear up ton of stuff. It's easy if you got big money paying the bills. These guys ain't got that money behind them.

When I was 7 & 8 years old, we used to run our dirt sprint car on Friday and the pavement sprint car on Saturday. While my dad and neighbor maintenanced the pavement cat, I had to clean the dirt car before they could start doing maintenance on that one. They used to have me wipe down the car with a gas rag after I pressure washed it. Thayer clay ain't no joke.
