The dresser had good bones style wise. What you created was stunningly unique. Even though it looks like you spent a lot of man/womanhours on this piece, it was worth it in the end. In fact, if I had done a dresser like this, I would not want to sell it. lol Bravo for a job done with an exceptional design and skill.

This turned out stunning, I just love it! What's your take on the Modern Masters clear coat that you used on this piece? I've been thinking of trying it but it's on the pricey side.

I like it, I’m still in long term testing mode so I can’t give a full on referral for it. And I love Varathane and it’s price point is a lot friendlier.

Gorgeous!!! I love that you put varnish (or whatever it was) over the top to seal it and protect it. I thought that varnish would reactivate chalk paint. I thought the only option you had with chalk paint is a wax coating, and I don’t like that and don’t feel it is durable. What product did you use to seal everything?

Thank you! And I rarely ONLY use wax to seal a piece. I typically seal with a poly of some kind (depending on the situation) and then if it’s a high traffic piece, I’ll wax over that for extra protection. Just make sure your paint is completely dry before applying a sealer and you shouldn’t have any issues with reactivation.
