Another low tech option Ive seen some makers do is to even make a sticker or stencil their logo on their tools (side of grinder or anvil) in most shots near where they are working. Saves a bit of time in the future when editing their videos.

There's a very simple solution for this: Hand tattoos. Get "Damascus" tattooed across your knuckles. Or your maker's mark at the base of your thumb or something more subtle.

Brother Shurap, again you amaze us. You are absolutely one of the very best at pattern welding. This makes you one of the best blade makers on earth. Your process is actually simple. You do not allow the material to fail to weld. Slow, well thought out process. This approach all but guarantees success. Most move to quickly allowing poor welds to form. While this is “simple”, it is actually brilliant, subtle, and very hard to duplicate. I am honored to study your work. You are an inspiration. And you have time for tea! Be safe Brother! TEXAS.

Good work, as always. I think the pattern would have been better if he had used all four pieces of chain in a single billet. But, that is a personal stylistic choice and has no bearing on the quality of the work. Keep on going. Even if I don't particularly care for a single design, I am going to keep watching and supporting because you do excellent work with odd and unusual materials. Stay interesting, my friend.

when you choose how to form the point of your blades, what makes you decide to cut a portion off instead of hammering out the shape sometimes? Do you just have a preference or do you feel it preserves the damascus pattern you're going for more, if you cut?
