Soooo Dame Dash, the greatest businessman alive is still in the red??? No way Dame is always right and everybody else is always wrong. The more successful a man gets, the more humble and appreciative he should be. The way you treat people when you are on top is important because when you fall, those same people will watch your descent, and all they will remember is the times you treated them like ISH.

No he didn't i don't if you remember MTV had a special on how much rappers make in the music industry and Dame Dash was breaking down the million dollars advance rappers get which dame dash broke it down from getting taxed from IRS, then managers, looking out for your homeboys, bills, buying shit like cars & clothes & jewelry etc. 50 cent said that he heard dame dash on MTV explaining that how a million dollars isn't any money from that breakdown. He didn't tell 50 cent that personally. Cause I remember that episode on MTV he explaining the million dollars breakdown.

LAME. The literal govt owns legendary HipHop catalog now because he wouldn’t do the right thing and sell it to THE ARTIST. Their initial rift was over them not wanting to give him Reasonable Doubt even before him deciding to leave and go run Def Jam. They could’ve done right by him as the emcee, and both Dame and Biggs would be in even better positions right now.

That made no sense. Why would jayz call New York State and say a million dollars. New York State was mad jayz legal team put out a notice that he would get it back in a few years. The state brought it because dame has millions of tax debt, child support fees and a legal case to pay off. The state trying to sell it and maybe jayz could work with them to get it back from state. But the state didn’t put up any money to get the shares.
@brandoni24121 сағат бұрын
That notice didn't mean anything. Companies that bid definitely researched what the one third share was worth. A one third share of a company that the person will have no voting control, and is probably bringing in low six figures annually, isn't worth $10 million. The company has no assets outside of the album, which Jay has an option to buy back in 5 years. Dame should've probably accepted that offer Jay gave him years ago...

Dames reputation is being tarnished the doors he once had access to are limited now that explains why the money isnt there he still has a great business mind that will never change. Whenever JayZ is involved and against you its funny how its always the same results. Things going on behind the scenes slowing the motion down.
@watchnoface87707 сағат бұрын
I completely agree with all of that. As time has gone on i STILL greatly respect dames no filter honesty and blunt expression of everything, but I just think the only vulnerable area he has is showing his hand too much. A level of sneaky is required because business itself especially in western set ups contain slimy operators and you MUST adapt and not show your position and what you think or will do ALL THE TIME. People like Jay who among other things has the most Brooklyn DNA you can think of (shout to my family from BK) literally has the bait and switch and rob em double cross in his mentality. While Dame keeps it all the way 100, others are quietly blackballing and sabotaging. Funny thing is, Dame being in the red ain’t everyone’s being in the red, that dude can still make money and never going to be poor, people get that misconstrued! If I ever met him m, I’d pay him to talk to, or even at me for like 2 hours and soak up game. Losers think you cant teach if you’re not ALWAYS up, that’s retarded.

@oophorror225117 сағат бұрын
I don’t judge him for the child support. NY law is harsh on that front. He can end up paying alimony for decades after divorce even when you don’t have kids. Dame married her right after selling Roc. She probably took half his money, assets, and a healthy child support payment. He’d still be wealthy if he hadn’t married her.

The auction was tainted
@brandoni24121 сағат бұрын
The auction wasn't going to get more than what it got for one, one third of the label was being auctioned, which isn't a controlling share. $10 million wasn't happening. Dame was trying to talk it up. People do their research on how much the one third share was really worth. Even with Jay Z's attorney saying that he would get it back didn't hurt anything. People that were interested already checked it out before that. I do think the state cut a deal with Jay, because I believe he will probably end up buying it from them. Jay may have incidentally helped Dame out some...
