Me being from Philly that State Prop/Roc was the best era of Philly rap. Cassidy also even though he wasnt Roc. Eve was also poppin. Then we brought Neo Soul to the game from Philly with Jill Scott Musiq Soulchild, Bilal etc. Philly dont get the credit we deserve musically

@@Ontiming2023 How people treats Dame is tragic. He’s basically Rap’s Barry Gordy but people talk crazy about him because he had a falling out with their favorite rapper. This is why I encourage anyone that’s worth anything to worry about your family and yourself. Don’t love or give back to “the culture” or “the community” or whatever they call it because it will never love you back, and they will abandon you when you fall. Jay had to get Dame out of the picture so he could be The Boss. Dame was the businessman and Jay was the Rapper. Jay out grew that role and resented being seen as the guy who seen as just a rapper and NOT a business mind. And Dame was cocky and so was Jay, just more quiet about it. Jay wanted to be seen as the man and there was no room for Dame in the room with him bc as long as Dame was there Jay couldn't be numero uno. Period. They clearly had different business models and didnt evolve the same way. Surface ppl only see "the bag" NOT the routes diff ppl take to get to it. Both are to be resepcted but to compare the two based on different perspectives on success isnt probably the best way to receive the lessons both men have to share.

From the New York Post 2008: Eastern Savings Bank has filed suit against entrepreneur Damon Dash, charging the Roc-a-Fella Records co-founder hasn't made a payment on his $78,504.20-a-month mortgage since January. "YOU ARE IN DANGER OF LOSING YOUR HOME," reads the foreclosure action against Dash and wife Rachel Roy. The $7.3 million mortgage was actually taken on two TriBeCa properties the couple owns, at 25 N. Moore St. and at 79 Laight St. A rep for Dash did not return a call and e-mail for comment. The clothing big has been besieged by debtors in the past year, despite having an estimated $50 million fortune. The Post reported last year that he owed the city $2 million in back taxes, and the mortgage suit says he has $100,000 in federal tax liens against his properties.

Jay sells before his businesses so call fails. That’s what you do. Build up a brand’s value and sell it for more than it was originally worth. Like the game monopoly.

That pause shyt is so annoying. Everything that comes out of his mouth is pause. Dame has to be a closeted homosexual. No straight man has to worry about what he’s saying unless he’s uncertain of his self. Idgaf what anyone thinks what I say. I’m secure with myself. Never said pause a day in my life when I’m having a conversation. Foh with that bullshyt
