I was in my teens when Barry Humphries rose to stardom in Australia and I was hooked. I followed his career and attended some of his Australian performances thereafter. The greatest Australian comic of that era.

God bless Barry. He was SO AHEAD of his time with this character. And only he could pull it off with his quick wit and charm. His timing for jokes was impeccable and he barely was caught off guard. And if he was he knew exactly how to take it on. He was a well traveled and VERY learned man as well. Their will never be another. RIP Barry.
