I think that goes both ways too though. A real one doesn't allow his confidence to be ruined. There's so many dreams of mine I've "allowed" others to ruin, but it wasn't until i actually matured that i learned that i gave them the power to ruin those dreams. Regardless of if i was a kid or not, that doesn't matter. What matters is taking that power back, accepting past weaknesses, and learning from them.

dame is just a decent human being. he really comes from the right place. so many other far worse players would have said they had to be number one in the daft, just to illustrate their competitiveness. and although dame easily would have a case for being on par with AD, he recognises greatness because it doesn't take away anything from himself. he seems grounded and levelheaded. that also shows in his desire to win a championship in portland, because it would really mean something. i immediately thought of dirk, and boom, he took him as an example for what he strives for. KD's case should wake up them trophy chasing mercenaries. what did he get for his achievements in Golden State? his trophies are tainted. i root for him trying to bring a championship to portland. they're on their way. just keep the course, make experiences and grow until ultimately they'll have what it takes. it'll be a true achievement...
