Think of it this way, Vegeta from DBZ was also a soldier born of royalty and was the very definition of arrogant but was extremely humbled by his defeats and love from his family and now is everyone's favorite character. That's all we need from Damian. To be humbled and to find companionship and love. Also for him not to be so overpowered otherwise he proves everyone's point. Let him lose so he can learn from it as a TV show once told me “You don't learn anything when you win”. If the writers continue to let him be arrogant and never change thinking that's appealing to us (which it isn't) then unfortunately a lot of people are gonna find him insufferable.

At all, in the scene he tried to escape from Wayne Manor to do superhero-stuff without his “Bat-Dad” or “Bat-Father”, however u want, it actually could work easily, if he just were jumped over the spikes. Because he actually were able to it ’cause there was a little bit (but enough) space between them and a little spot he could stay, that was, despite the fact that it was not so much space, it was still enough space to jump over the Spikes. You've already said, he‘s underrated but I still think that anyboby else who hate him (btw I ain't one of them) is still able to see that Damian has very, very good skills and is trained by the The League of Assassins *and by Batman too* and he also already got involved in a fight with Nightwing and so he's definitely more than good enough to jump over (idk, maybe 30 centimeters-high) spikes, so, it would work. But he took hiself a short moment to bring a statement about Batman‘s emergency system to non-let-him-out in case he has to keep him inside of the Dings from Wayne Manor. And then he got shocked by elektro shocks

Idc I love Baby Bird. He’s a brat who has a reason for being that way given 10 years with Talia and Ra’s and the “blood son” of Batman. An ego is expected from this kid. Spending time with the more caring part of his blood family helps him grow. This kid, in movie canon, used the Lazarus Pit to bring Nightwing back to life because Dick is his brother. In other words, he grew enough to have genuine love and respect for “the one Batman took pity on” when Damian continued to claim being the blood son had more weight when he first became Robin. The change in his views of his family as he aged is enough for me to see past his bratty stage and high opinion of himself. I adore my little Dami. ☺️

A solid compilation, though I could think of a few more: - In their fight, Deathstroke said his luck was over, but Robin retorted it was skill then spit in his remaining eye. - When Batman goes missing, Robin said he was "more Batman" than Nightwing would ever be. - Dismissing Starfire due to thinking she was an exile. Plus, when she mentions being on the team would help him reach his potential, he turned it into an insult by insinuating despite years on the team, she hadn't reached hers. - "That's the difference between you and me: you wear a weapon. I am a weapon." - His incredibly indirect apology to Jaime. - Agitated he couldn't bring his sword into the carnival. - Beast Boy panicked about how they had nothing to take down possessed Superman, which Robin merely smiled to in response, and Gar's shock - Deathstroke had Robin captive, so he insulted the merc to provoke a fight, and when it failed, he insulted again but now his uniform - Couple more great brother moments when Robin indifferently congratulated Nightwing for moving in with Starfire. Then Nightwing asking about how often Robin wore his uniform, which he said was always except when bathing; "might be time" Robin sniffs himself "I'm good." - Damian expressing concern about Bruce having a relationship with Catwoman, giving safe sex advice, then apathetically giving understanding about needing a "trollop." - He threatened Constantine that if he stole anything, his hands would be cut off (which also ties into a running gag I love with Etrigan voicing admiration for Damian).
