'Be the rainbow in someone's cloud.' - Maya Angelou. That's the positivity at the end of your videos - more important than the lessons.

Yup. His lessons are great fun, but the inspirational messages to close the videos are a wonderful reminder to us all.

Yes, I absolutely love learning guitar from Damian. Such a great teacher, patient and clear, and I share Damian’s passion for rockabilly, jump blues, and similar styles. But much as I get a lot out of Damian’s lessons, it’s his positive, kind, decent, genuine, and enthusiastic personality that make this channel and Damian’s hard work truly shine.🌟

You are definitely a positive force on the Internet and that's one of the reasons I enjoy your channel so much. I do enjoy your early videos, but your teaching skills have definitely improved over time. Your tabs are so easy to follow, and the way you break it up into small phrases makes it easy to learn. Thanks so much for bringing this wonderful music to the Internet!

Fear not, Damian! You’re one of the most positive people on KZbin and an artist on guitar! If you’re ever in Cleveland again - for the Rock Hall or not - it would be great to do lunch.

I like the story about the picks- the first job I ever had was in a movie theater and they gave out picks as a promo item for the movie ‘Airheads’. There was a big box of them and after the promo was over I took home a handful. Those were my favorite picks I’ve ever used and I wish I had a few left.
@Damianblf16 күн бұрын
That was a pretty cool promotion. Thanks for sharing :)

I miss my Tascam 424 cassette! I had sooooooo much fun with that thing. Wish I had kept the original tapes. It was so many years ago that they just got lost in either carelessness, moves or life in general. So it goes. The best thing I remember about those was bouncing everything to track 4 then BOOM! It’s now suddenly a 7 track recorder. 😂

I still have my Tascam :)

Hey Damian, I've learned so much from your lessons over the last couple of years. I'd love if you could do a lesson on Rockabilly rhythm, something like your track "Lil' Baby". It isn't some wild cool solo lick, but it sounds so authentic to that old Rockabilly sound. Thanks for all your hard work.

I'm a heavy gage fan also. That's what I learned to play on my old Sears Silvertone Acoustic because back in those days heavy gage was all their was. The tips of my fingers are so calloused if put on a flimsy light gage string I can't tell if I've even got a hold of it or not. lol I'm 72 and that's just the way it was in the middle 1960s.

Greetings from Jacksonville Florida, great stuff Damian. By the way I had a Deville as well I think I got mine the same year. 410 loud and heavy as hell. Wish I still had mine..

For gigs I started using a hand cart a number of years ago for the DeVille and my AC30 when taking them to gigs. I should have bought something like that much earlier in life lol. Thanks for watching :)

I'm a lefty who plays right. My first guitar was a Harmony acoustic My second was a Les Paul Jr. 1959.
@Damianblf16 күн бұрын
Do you still have the Les Paul Jr.?
@briannichols849216 күн бұрын
@Damianblf No. Traded it to Jerry Hensley, lead guitar player for Johnny Cash. I live in Hiltons Va. Home of the Carter Family. Wanted a left handed guitar also. My dad said I could probably play as good right as left. The only instrument that I would need to play left handed is a fiddle. The Oldman who had the Gibson wanted $75 for it and the small amp. He bought it new for church. Good to hear from you. Enjoy tour videos. You are a very fine musician.

I feel ike I've followed you from the time you launched your YT channel and your personality has not only evolved, you did a complete180. You launched with a "too cool school attitude" and were very blasé. Very detached. You are now so different and positive and supportive that I assumed you had gone through therapy. You are a different person. I definitely like the new Damian MUCH better.
