I'm actually so happy he tried something different. I like some of the Maneskin songs but never got into them. However this song just hits my taste so bad that I think about becoming a fan. It's not the usual song, notes he sang as a member of the band. I really love it. His song just got recommended to me and made me search up more about him. His solo debut is like his own transformation. He has diversity not only in fashion sense, style but also in voice which is unique

The rocker stuff he does with Maneskin is great, but Evan Maneskin has some lovely ballads especially going back to their beginnings singing mostly Italian! He is experimenting with his range and mix of musical tastes while on hiatus from Maneskin, and I wish people would just appreciate his right to do that. ❤

It has nothing to do with quality. In italy there are way more talented singers than damiano, with a huge repertory, same thing in France and Spain and most of them do not sell a copy abroad. Italian pop has been very successful internationally in the last 65 years, starting with Domenico Modugno in the 50's that won two grammys in the states up to Eros Ramazzotti, laura Pausini, Andrea Bocelli. Today we have singers like Elodie, Mahmood, Annalisa, Madame, Blanco just to name a few, whose songs could have easily sold well abroad without the industrial music mafia that prevent non anglo/american singers from selling abroad, unless they are produced by anglo/americans. That's the case of maneskin wose management is american, Andrea Bocelli (that works with David Foster) and so on. The only american album of Laura pausini (who sold over 80 million records during her career) could be possible because of the american production.
