Oh. My. God. Isn't this the most perfect, most disarming, most sorrowful, most - beautiful, song ever written...? And did you hear that sound...? It was the breaking of my soul. I am in pieces every time I listen to this perfection. This is love - and loss - personified. It is the brilliance of a heart that has burst.

I hadn't really paid attention to this song before. It's disarming and it pierces through your heart with every verse. You can feel the pain, grief and despair. Absolutely perfect and it does take you to deep and dark places in your mind and heart you thought you wouldn't go back to.

And as I sit here in 2020 amidst a world which is on fire and already full of so much sorrow, its is the sorrow of this beautiful song that even after all these years still has a way of pulling me apart whilst putting me back together. Timelessly perfect.

i love his music and performance so much. he cares neither his performance impeccable nor meticulous, but always gives every performance soul or room for slience or lament if it needs, which makes his music alive… so talented!

Why am I just realizing how indescribable this song is? I mean my stomach is in knots; my heart is breaking; my brows are furrowed; and if I don't let out a big breath I'm going to cry. The melody is melancholy and I want to learn how to play it on the piano and guitar and I barely play those instruments at all.

I like Nic Harcourt and I loved the Morning Becomes Eclectic show as it exposed so many good artists to me such as Tina Dico and Polly Paulusma but chiming in with KCRW station info during the final minute of this incredible performance is unforgivable.

I wish they made a recording of this without the commentary! This is soooo sooo breathtaking (and tastefully painful to bear in one's soul), love the piano and cello combination too.. and the rawness he add to it.. his accents.. and the "do you feel like you belong?" at 5:21.. It hurts. To the core of my being. It hurts.

Well I held you like a lover Happy hands, your elbow in the appropriate place And we ignored our others Happy plans for that delicate look upon your face Our bodies moved and hardened Hurting parts of your garden With no room for a pardon In a place where no one knows what we have done Do you come Together ever with him? And is he dark enough? Enough to see your light? And do you brush your teeth before you kiss? Do you miss my smell? And is he bold enough to take you on? Do you feel like you belong? And does he drive you wild? Or just mildly free? What about me? Well you held me like a lover Sweaty hands And my foot in the appropriate place We use cushions to cover happy glands In the mild issue of our disgrace Our minds pressed and guarded While our flesh disregarded The lack of space for the lighthearted In the boon that beats our drum Well I know I make you cry And I know sometimes you wanna die But do you really feel alive without me? If so, be free If not, leave him for me Before one of us has accidental babies For we are in love Do you come Together ever with him? Is he dark enough? Enough to see your light? Do you brush your teeth before you kiss? Do you miss my smell? And is he bold enough to take you on? Do you feel like you belong? And does he drive you wild? Or just mildly free? What about me? What about me?

Does anyone know how to edit this song so as to cut off the last 45 seconds so that the guy isn't talking. Because this is truly the best version of the song I have ever heard. You can tell that Damien is truly feeling and thinking about the inspiration for this song as he plays and sings. It is heart-wrenching. and beautiful.

90% of this album is about him cheating. This song in particular is about him (again) cheating and being pissed he didn’t get chosen in the end. It’s funny to me cus this was like people who love the song “Lips of n Angel”.
