Damien Rice on Iceland, life, and creativity for The Line of Best Fit

Damien Rice isn't the archetypal popstar. After a 8-year hiatus - an eternity for a mainstream artist - the Irishman is back with his new album My Favorite Faded Fantasy.
Recorded between Los Angeles and Iceland and produced by Rick Rubin, the drop marks his third release, following 2006's 9. In advance of its November release we caught up with the singer and his collaborators in Reykjavik, for an exclusive video interview with Best Fit.
We chatted to Rice about the period of creative apathy that followed his second record and how he was able to get back to a place where he was excited to make music again, and got some of his collaborators discuss their experiences of working with him.

Damien Rice and Glen Hansard best artists of all time. I had the chance to watch Glen Hansard's performance in Switzerland. I hope one day to watch Damien Rice as well. That would be amaaazing!!!!

Best Damien Rice interview in years, well done, and what good news to hear of his current hunger to create music again, hopefully wont have to wait another 8 years for a masterpiece like My Favourite Faded Fantasy. Marketa is a good singer but too obvious i feel, Lisa is very much missed on the album, her and Damiens voice complimented each other so well, her timings and inflections were always incredible to listen to, so spellbinding, whereas Marketa just sounds like a regular session singer, she lacks Lisa's emotion and depth, but it still does not ruin the album for me, i buy Damien Rice albums to listen to Damien, and that will always be a pleasure to behold!
