I remember when I got a job, I moved to another city, and spent a year there alone.. for me, my life was good, I was young.. But when my brother came home to visit me, he asked me if I was suffering in loneliness, I was offended and replied that I was doing great. The next day I asked him why he thought so, he told me he watched me while I played "Elephant" as we settled for the night. He said some things are evident by the type of music we listen to, more importantly, the way we sing it. I apparently lost my self and sang along even in the high pitches, as though I felt every word of it. To me it was normal, this is a masterpiece and that's how it is to be sung along. he refused, there was something wrong with me. Then I thought maybe he was right, I was lonely, but it was not like anyone could enter into that room and make me feel better. It's been 4 years now, and I just can't help get over this song. The same loneliness is lurking within.. But I don't regret it... We are all here for the human experience, and what better way to feel human than the existential feeling of being lonesome.

Damien has been the person I have gone to when i needed to be alone, for the last 11 years, I still remember watching Closer at the cinema, I loved the film, but I just wanted to get back home, and discover more about this singer, since then, I have been totally hooked. every song pictures a moment of my life like nothing else is able to.
