I remember when I got a job, I moved to another city, and spent a year there alone.. for me, my life was good, I was young.. But when my brother came home to visit me, he asked me if I was suffering in loneliness, I was offended and replied that I was doing great. The next day I asked him why he thought so, he told me he watched me while I played "Elephant" as we settled for the night. He said some things are evident by the type of music we listen to, more importantly, the way we sing it. I apparently lost my self and sang along even in the high pitches, as though I felt every word of it. To me it was normal, this is a masterpiece and that's how it is to be sung along. he refused, there was something wrong with me. Then I thought maybe he was right, I was lonely, but it was not like anyone could enter into that room and make me feel better. It's been 4 years now, and I just can't help get over this song. The same loneliness is lurking within.. But I don't regret it... We are all here for the human experience, and what better way to feel human than the existential feeling of being lonesome.

The Irish are poets, storytellers and can convey emotions better than any others. Genius performance.
Although the Irish are great, I believe differently. It’s the unique individuals who oft become poets, from all different places where various perspectives roam, like no other. 😊

Damien has been the person I have gone to when i needed to be alone, for the last 11 years, I still remember watching Closer at the cinema, I loved the film, but I just wanted to get back home, and discover more about this singer, since then, I have been totally hooked. every song pictures a moment of my life like nothing else is able to. Unfortunately I have only been able to go to one of his concerts, but boy, I will never ever forget it. You will never read this Damien, but if you do. Thank you.
