I'm in the printing business. During the 80's, & 90's 90% of my clients were net 30. Invoices would go out 2% net 10 to control capital, hated it. Today 0% of my clients are on terms. Everyone is driven to my ecommerce website. Place your order, input your cc# and move on. If your a larger corporation, I do not care, no terms. I'm not a bank. Use your credit card if you need 30 days and accumulate points. This works for me and I'll stay the course. No more factoring invoices, filing court papers, net 30 runs into 60, no thank you.

It wasn’t until more recent years that he started to help Dame out.
@RICO_SUAVE_86_5 жыл бұрын
jojocapone973 I disagree. If you listen to the first song off the Paid in Full Soundtrack (second half of the album; disc 2) from 2002, there’s a song called “Champions” where right before everybody went in Dame said: Got damn Kanye! I bet n****s didn't know you could rap huh? (They didn't)/That's my m***********g producer/This the producer on the Roc/he rap better than most rappers! This is 2 years before Kanye exploded onto the scene and dropped his debut album. Might have been Ye’s first time rhyming on a record too. Kareem “Biggs” Burke might have played a role in that, I can’t debate whether that’s true or not especially because Biggs was always super low-key behind-the-scenes. However, Jay didn’t want anyone to ever outshine him on the Roc (hence the beef with Cam and Dipset, when they came on and went platinum out-the-gate Jay felt threatened). He especially wasn’t promoting Kanye but Dame was. But then later after the breakup when he saw star potential in Kanye and knew it would be a good look for him to have Ye be one of the first post Roc-A-Fella break-up album releases (Late Registration) he started rocking with Ye heavy. I believe he did that to spite Dame too after the breakup because people were choosing sides (Beanie went with Dame and Dame Dash Music Group Records after the breakup too). Just my two cents.

It's a broke man's mentality. If you borrow money from your circle, it is usually UNSECURED. Which means that there are no real financial consequences like you would have if you screwed over a bank. Friends USE that flexibility to get ahead and formulate the opinion that they don't REALLY HAVE TO pay you back (or pay you back on time). And then when their endeavors finally get rolling, they can think of 1000 things better to do with that money rather than to pay it back to you. Bottom line...we value money over integrity. This is why so many people turn up hurt or dead in the streets... Just ask the mob.

CASHFLOW LESSON 101: To answer the question for the young lady who asked the question at 1:20 ... The answer should have been that she should open accounts with at least 3 various factoring companies since she works with insurance agencies and various companies. Then she should factor 30 percent of her invoices to aid in her cash flow issues and meet payroll issues. She can also use this method to check the credit of all of her clients to see whether she will require cash upfront or extend the net 30-60 invoice in the first place. This can also be used to expand her business model because she is extending credit to potential new clients. EASY ANSWER !!! to cashflow issues. This works especially with small to medium size companies who need to take on larger clients.

ADOS CHICAGO there are many super Rich black people around the world. Heck, jay z is black. The people is that you black want to run a business based on sentiments. You also have to be able to solve people’s problems with your business. That way, it won’t matter what color you are. People will buy from you just because you are the best at what you do.

Lala Ghana-Love we won’t this, we won’t that. I hate when Black people keep crying about who won’t do this and that.The idea that people should support you just you are black is a defeatist mindset and will take us nowhere. We have to be excellent at what we do. We have to be able to solve problems. Most black business I see either have terrible customer service or outrageous prices for their goods and services. I would never support any business, that can’t provide me great services at affordable prices , just because the owner is black. I’ll gladly patronize the white, Latino, Asians etc as gas as they can provide me with great products and services at affordable prices.

That's a great reference point regarding the mafia. I've been saying this for a while that if the Black community would double down and use the mafia perspective/strategy when it comes to finance, we'd be alot better off than where we are now. We're so segregated in our thoughts that we negate progress as a whole because we don't follow a blueprint. A more relevant example would be the Jewish community. Look how powerful they've became through their own economics and power moves. Much love to Dame and Dr. Watkins.

The key to getting clients to pay on time is to offer a 5%-10% discount incentive if you pay in 30 days. Your accountant should already have a contra account set up for this journal entry.

The concept of forming a business relationship where we take advantage of accounts receivable/payable is not new though - that's how most businesses operate. I refer to it as the multiplier X...

@squaredcircleathletics71525 жыл бұрын
@@christopherayettey4390 In what context? Please be specific
@squaredcircleathletics71525 жыл бұрын
@@christopherayettey4390 I'll take a wild guess of what you're looking for but here we go: most business relationships rely on one another in a "supplier/distributor interface" whereby a credit relationship is spawned - 30 day, 60 day or longer it depends all of which is good for any business survival. This hallmarks the 'multiplier x' idea which is critical. A business or businessman can't operate with the idea of growth by functioning in a silo. Blacks tend to do this isolation following new success. When we do this our growth (if any) tends to stall or not see the accelerated rate of growth given the capital which is a commodity itself.

I don't understand how friends not complying with the "Stay rich" plan would cause a wealth gap as big as the one between Dame and Jay Z.... Dame clearly isn't as good a businessman as he thinks he is, people say he gives good advice but I don't know anything about business I just see net worth. So maybe he should be taking his own advice, but Jay Z was clearly the business mind. Even the other founder Biggs is worth 5 times more than Dame. Why aren't people bringing Jay Z or Biggs onto their platforms to talk about business, they the ones we should be listening to based on numbers. Don't get me wrong, Dame must be good at something cuz he's worth 2 Mill so he's still rich. He just isnt on the other two dudes' level. And they probably recognized that he was dead weight...and that they most likely would be bailing him out of bad investments.

Courtny 007 go read up on their history. Jay wasn’t a better business man, he wasn’t loyal and cut deals behind Dames back. He has also been blackballed because of his opinions. Think dude, why would Lee Daniel go to Dame and not the other dudes you mentioned? Kanye, some of those philly dudes, etc... Biggs has always been background. This is why whites, Chinese, middle Eastern and other ethnic groups out do us and stay ahead of us. We can never establish a collective.
