Damon Point Discoveries! Ocean Shores WA Rockhounding! Petrified wood, jasper, and agates!

Hey everyone, sorry for the delay in posting, life has been a bit chaotic this past month. This is a recent trip to Damon Point by Ocean Shores. It didn't go exactly as planned but I made some amazing finds along with a chance to get in touch with what is truly important. Sorry about the sound, this was my first time filming with a GoPro and I'm still figuring things out. What do you do with the rocks you collect? Display as is? Polish? Cut the big ones open? Just a big ol’ jar of treasures? I’ve just started collecting WA carnelians, yellow agates, and jasp-agates similar to yours and just don’t know what to do with them, especially the tiny babies.

Hello! The really cool ones I have on the windowsills in the kitchen and home office where the cat can't get to them (lol) and the rest are sitting in boxes. The smaller ones I have together in a small jar (I think the jar had gravy in it when I got it from the store :D). I send some of the cool ones to relatives sometimes too. One of these days I'll get a rock tumbler, but living in an apartment I have to be sensitive to noise, so I have to do more research in to the quiet ones. Thanks! :)

Damon point is hit and miss, I liked going out in the winter, and after a storm, it seems the gravel isn't there Good luck, enjoy, and happy hounding

Hoping to get back out there sooner rather than later. Definitely going to avoid certain beaches until the weather cools down. :)
