On the Discogs link some reviewer's critical of the pressing: "Lots of cracks and pops.". I can't hear any?? Is this video's audio ripped from vinyl or from a digital source?
@bobmoegrabi2 жыл бұрын
There were no digital platforms in the 90s. This is recorded from vinyl. The discord reviewer probably has a non mint copy

US-pressings in this time weren't always the best ones... Same problems appeared also on +8 Rec., UR, Axis and so on.

@@BeatBandit77 On a positive note, I think for techno it adds character to the sound. CD-quality-audio techno mixes from the period lack that thickness and warmth that "bad" audio provides.

@@willman85 Oh, no -this could be a misunderstanding... For me as a vinyl-dj this little pops and crackles are really not a problem, I only tried to explain that also mint vinyl-copies had that problems he discribed in that period. From the early 90's to the mid-90's I could notice this issue, after that it went better and better... -so for me it wasn't even really a "problem".

What do you mean by no digital platforms? Denon made a dual-deck CDJ in 1993. I remember at one club in mid-90s they recorded sets to DAC and did live PAs from digital source. @@bobmoegrabi
