In spite that in fact it is a good interview thanks to Damon providing sincere and profound answers to these typical and well known questions, as a journalist, I humbly believe the interviewer has serious problems with following the mood, the flow and train of thoughts of Damon. He’s constantly asking “more details” or “tell us a bit more about…” when an interviewer’s ability is to achieve the magic of rich responses coming out spontaneously. Damon is evidently tired of being asked about the same boring things all the time. Maybe he has this self-defensive attitude towards interviewers in general or maybe to the simplistic interpretation of his outstanding and beyond-Blur-and-the-britpop-thing work. Nevertheless, he’s able to provide serious and honest answers even when he’s visible not so motivated, in comparison to other interviews of that time.

@EvesRevenge2 жыл бұрын
Hahaha. My parents were both teachers too....Mom started in normal elementary, a full 5th grade class every year...Then she took the Title 9 position, and taught all grades Art and Writing...Dad was a PhD, was a professor and taught Shakespeare, English Composition, Critical Thinking, CS Lewis...but he could play any instrument very well.... piano, trombone, sax, etc without any instruction or study, just by ear...he also had a radio program at the Univ, where he read poetry to primarily classical music....and these influences shaped me immensely...blah blah, but it's just interesting bc I played the piano until It became a chore, as I got advanced, then it was no longer fun...I dn choose to bc a musician, for my artist drive, but A lawyer, and used the art of word choice and persuasion....it was totally unsatisfying for other reasons, but, MUSIC is my life and always has been....and Damon has been on my radar since 1995/6....and overwhelmed by his passion and truly his rhythm...that is true art....Damon's performance of Andromeda at the WFUV studio in The Gorillaz's, encapsulates what I likely couldn't choose the right words to describe why I am drawn to his essence and music .....much love!

Find it odd that he started being mates with a man who stole his best friends girlfriend. (Graham) then if that wasnt a stab in the back he then kicks his buddy out of band just because he was going thru issues and ruins bluto start another band with the same guy Honestly who does that ? I'm not a Damon Albarn fan. Hes a thick headed arse. Graham is lovely soul.
@cactaceous4 жыл бұрын
Graham left blur because he had stopped drinking and doing drugs and Damon, Alex and Dave had not. He stopped turning up to rehearsals and sessions. Damon was friends with Jamie since they were all in university. By the time Damon and Jamie became flatmates and bandmates, Graham had left blur and was not on speaking terms with anyone. Life is life only. No need to judge. I'm a huge fan of everyone involved with blur and Gorillaz. We are all humans though.
