air in lungs represents black area! so more the air more blacky the area would be e.g pneumothorax emphysema more black and on the other hand pneumonia will show white area

In AP view its the clarity of the ribs thats important. Anterior part Of ribs clear. Ribs cast a shadow from posterior to anterior exception being the costal margins. Scapular rotation is dependent on the technicians and i have seen dumb ass techies who hand over a rotated film under or overexposed. You dont have to position the ribs like the scapula. It's positioning is not techie dependent. How many ribs should be seen is also important
