Reasons for silly mistakes: 1. Lack of revision-- Avoid new resources at the end 2. Read in one go mindfully -- Get your answer and then see the choices. 3. Gut feeling/Spinal instinct-- Odd names are always not the answers.

I agree with you saying that first we have to form an answer in our mind before looking at the options to avoid confusion. I did it all my life. BUT, in exam like USMLE step 1, i start reading the1st line of the question and feels that thay are askin about anatomy, then i read 2nd line and feels its physiology questn, then i read next line and its patho, then i read last line and the question is actully asking Biochemistry. SO now i have to re-read the whole question. Here do you think i should first look at the options and understand what the question is asking about and then for the clues in the question?

Explanation which is beyond awesome!! Only thing i wud lik to accuse u for is sir u told guide books are written by som undergraduates or random post graduate. Sir apart frm a very very few rubbish ones most of dem are written by subject specialist who are expert in mentoring students for last 10-15 years! They too hav a huge no of students following dem on fb whatsapp everywhr nd dey too put question on recall basis as ny so called branded institution does!!
